Brian Buchak

Brian Buchak is from Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Previous to tattooing, he explored a variety of other visual art forms, including painting, drawing, and printmaking, participating in a number of solo and group art projects and exhibitions along the way. After doing some extensive traveling, he moved to Austin, Texas in 2000 and shortly after got his start in tattooing, serving an old school apprenticeship under Ed Potter at Capitol City Tattoo. After a year and a half, he moved on to Custom Tattoos From the Soul, also in Austin.  He also likes to go out and explore the scene elsewhere, having tattooed in Seattle, Washington, St. Augustine, Florida, Boston, Massachusetts and Philadelphia among others. In the Spring of 2008, he decided to focus on more custom work, and moved to Chicago to work at Insight Studios.
