Insight Studios began to manifest conceptually in June of 2005. The vision was to build a creative facility that was home to talented artists. Housed in glass block and polished diamond plate, the overall feel of Insight Studios is clean, professional, creative and comfortable. Your safety and comfort are top priorities at Insight Studios and we do our best to make each and every tattoo/piercing/removal experience a special one.

The design of this shop is unique to the Chicagoland area and tattoo community. The waiting area houses a 24ft aluminum bench that sits under custom paintings made by the artists at Insight. The glass block dividing walls separate the work stations. Each tattoo and piercing station at Insight Studios offers 100% privacy, if needed. The entire piercing room is made up of glass block and a frosted glass door for privacy and ease of cleaning. All work surfaces are made of stainless steel which makes them easy to wipe down and disinfect.

Every artist at Insight attends an annual bloodborne pathogens and principles of infection control training course, which meets the requirements of OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030.

Insight Studios offers weekly autoclave spore-testing in Chicago. The results are kept on-site to ensure that our equipment is sterilized using the highest standards in the tattoo/piercing industry.

Insight Studios is the first studio recognized by The Association of Professional Piercers in Chicago. By adhering to the highest industry standards, you will receive a professional piercing by aprofessional piercer. Only the highest quality of jewelry the industry has to offer is used. At Insight Studios our specialty is custom tattooing. The selection of “flash” (pre-drawn artwork) is extremely limited but available to build ideas upon. With the skill and talent of the artists working at Insight Studios, there is never a reason to “pick a design off the wall.” A tattoo is something personal that deserves personal attention in creating the tattoo. We focus on making each and every tattoo as unique as the person getting it.

The only way you will ever have the same tattoo done at Insight Studios as someone else is if it was planned that way. You never have to worry about seeing someone with your tattoo if you get it custom designed for you by an artist.
